What is dnfBB?
dnfBB is a fast and lightweight Firebird/.Net-powered discussion board. It is released under the Initial Developers Public License (IDPL). The primary aims for dnfBB are:

Native support for Firebird.
Traditional 3 Tier model comprising User Interface, Business Object Layer and Data Access Layer..
Fast, with fewer graphics than traditional forums.
Support multiple forums within the same table structure.

Requirements
dnfBB is written in C# and thus requires the .net runtime (currently version 1.1.4322), development has been done using Visual Studion 2003 .net.

Why dnfBB?
dnfBB first came about when I was looking for a forum which nativly supported Firebird. Currently, no forum exists, which:

Uses a single set of tables for multiple forums.

Supports Firebird (using Stored Procedures/Views etc).

Written using C#, my language of choice.

PunBB is currently available, however no Firebird port is yet available, and the prospect of a port to Firebird does not look likely in the near future.

With all this in mind, I thought it would be fun to create a new Forum Board, from the ground up.
